Davey Holmes Cricket Cup - 10th anniversary

In August, Appeal Ambassador Davey Homes hosted the 10th anniversary of his Cricket Cup raising a fantastic £15,000 which has been allocated towards enhancing a new patient room in our new hospital building.

Since the event began back in 2009, the ‘Davey Holmes Cricket Cup’ has raised over £100,000 for The RNOH Charity, to say thank you for the excellent care he received here after an accident on the set of Harry Potter left him paralysed from the chest down.

As well as the cricket match, this year’s event enjoyed by David’s friends and family, also included live music, a bouncy castle, soft play, face painting, a raffle and an auction. Team Gryffindor battled it out to become this year’s winners with a final score of Gryffindor 134/5 and Slytherin 119/9.
