The event is suitable for ALL levels of fitness. Please help us reach our target of £10,000 to fund specialist equipment for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital’s new Spinal Cord Injury Centre (SCIC). The SCIC is one of 11 centres in the UK designated to receive and treat spinal-cord injured patients. It is nationally and internationally renowned for the quality of its care and its pioneering treatment methods. Spinal cord injury has a devastating effect on the 1,200 people who become paralysed each year in the UK.
The contribution the SCIC has made to the development of spinal cord injury care in the UK is immense, it was clinicians at the RNOH who first emphasised the importance of rehabilitation and restoration from within hours of injury, and who revolutionised the length of time devoted to spinally injured patients.
Jane Wrafter has been teaching group fitness classes for 15 years, and has a passion for helping everyone enjoy exercise, no matter what their fitness level or ability. She believes that fitness should be fun, and that everyone should feel that they belong in the class. She teaches Pilates, Dance Aerobics, Core strength classes and has worked with lots of post-natal women through personal training. She is the founder and one of the team of instructors JCW Fitness (community based classes in Muswell Hill) which offers around 30 classes a week including Yoga, Zumba, Circuits, Boxercise, Ballet Tone and more, with no contracts and maximum attendance flexibility and subscription options to suit people with busy lives."
