Charitable trusts and major gifts

Major gifts from charitable trusts and individual donors are vital to RNOH. They enable us to plan ahead, to bolster our available funds through investment and to be innovative in our thinking about the hospital. A large donation can transform the lives of patients.

Funding opportunities

The funding we have so far secured for the redevelopment of the Stanmore site will only pay for a basic NHS hospital; we still need to raise money for a number of vital projects and items of medical equipment.

We are reliant upon major donations to help us fund, amongst other things:

  • Enhanced facilities and the most advanced medical equipment, in order to support patient care and improve our patients’ experience.
  • Environmental improvements to the hospital’s grounds.
  • Family accommodation.
  • A range of state-of-the-art scanning equipment and suites in which to house it. Some of these high-quality machines use reduced doses of radiation, and produce better quality images than is currently possible, allowing for improved accuracy of diagnosis.
  • Specialist equipment for, and enhancements to, the children’s garden and Spinal Cord Injury Centre garden.
  • Furnishings and artwork throughout the hospital, to create a calming and comfortable environment.

Whether you’re an individual donor or a representative of a charitable trust or foundation, we offer a tailored service to meet your specific needs, and to thank you for your support in the most appropriate way. Naming opportunities exist for donations above £15,000.

RNOH Charity will always be on hand to answer your queries and ensure that your experience as a major donor is a rewarding and exciting one. If you have chosen to fund a specific project, we will provide you with information about the impact of your funding and, if appropriate, can arrange trips so you can see the benefit of your gift first-hand.
